Although the appearance is quite terrible, it turns out some with a food that most Vietnamese believes it contain high protein food. "Balut", is duck or chicken eggs and can be found in Philippine and also available in other southern Asian countries. This food actually means "wrapped". It can be a healthy snacks. Balut commonly sold along the road. It is actually an egg boiled chicken or duck eggs. But what makes it really special and exotic? Its contents an eggs of embryo , either a duck or chicken that is boiled alive. That eggs is already shaped like chicks with beak, feathers and smooth and soft bones. For us it might be a bit strange, right? Well, usually eaten in a warm wrap with mixture of salt, chilies, garlic and vinegar as the toppping. Before eating balut, the 'gravy' or the juice that had in the embryo must be taken first. Then new skin peeled eggs and mature embryo is directly eaten.

Fugu is the Japanese word for blow fish. This fish is containing with tetrodotoxin poison which can cause to death. Only trained chef for two or three years and pass the appropriate test only to be allowed to provide the dangerous menu. If wrong steps preparing fugu fish menu, the unfortunate customer about to suffer from diarrhea, cramps, headaches and the paralysis and can lead to death. Based to what already written in Japanese Times report, there are only small number of experienced customer cramps and had diarrhea in quite critical conditions. WHITE ANT EGG SOUP

White ant egg soup is one of most interesting dishes if you visit Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok. This soup containing eggs and young ants. This soup are said to have a soft texture but a little sour. Having feeling to try it? Well, this delicious menu ant eggs soup were taken from Weaver Ants species that abound in tropical country. They believe this soup has high nutritional food for health. The price is very expensive because the ants only available during summer, they lay eggs during summer to prevent egg damaged if submerged from rainwater. It also believe by people in Thailand that it have more protein compared to fish, as well as to treat malaria.

This dish is considered a classic dish and was said it has it own nutritional and particularly to strengthen the sexual prowess and treat asthma. The mice has prices there in Vietnam. 

It priced is at 80,000 dong (RM 12.01) per kilogram. Based on local media, the village was known as the "Rat Village" because as an average, the villagers will sold in about hundred kg of rat every day. The rats was eaten by the villagers before because of poverty.

It is a raw squid that still alive has been cut into small pieces and served immediately usually lightly seasoned with sesame oil. The sannakji piece usually still squiring on the plate. According to them, it is more interesting if squid is moving on the plate because so appetizing. the squid were places in the aquarium and if the customer wishes to eat it, the squid will be caught alive , cut to pieces, then mixed with oil and grains. Then it can be eat.

It is actually a beetle larvae that nest in the trunk of rotten sagu tree. The sagu maggot can be enjoyed by a variety of dishes either fried with soy sauce, smoked or made into soup for satay sauce. The demand of this maggot is very high among the natives, Chinese and foreign tourists because of it taste. Some say that it so creamy and very delicious. For hardcore fans, they eat maggot alive by dowse with fine salt or eaten with sago. Although no scientific studies , sago maggot is said to have several benefits including reducing obesity while as a nourishing oil for hair growth. The maggot have a taste like shrimp but it is more sweet with a fairly strong smell.

It is a food made from a female frog ovary or more precisely the frog fallopian tube from type 'WADAM'. Species of this frog is a kind of large-sized hill "katak bukit". The food fans will cook as soup to warm the body during winter and believed will beautify the skin. These kind of food can be found in China.

The price is very expensive compared to other coffee. Linksys coffee types of coffee cannot be find in famous restaurants, mamak shops, roadside stall any longer. This coffee is now being actively commercialized in Malaysia since 2010.

Popular food in Korea Cuisine. Beondegi are steamed or boiled silkworm pupa which are seasoned and eaten as a snack. Beondegi are often served by street vendors as well in restaurant. They also sold in cans in grocery stores and convenience stores. But it has to boiled in water first before can be served. Its kind of popular snacks in Korea within its citizen. It tastes like a crunchy nuts inside when bitten, and had the unique flavor. Some wonder if this Beondegi were sold in Korea and replace popcorn popularity over there?
